New Regulation EC No 831-2006

On January 1st, 2008 a new Regulation EC number 831/2006 entered into validity which changed procedure of handling of shipments which due to their size can’t be X-rayed. The main change is the length of quarantine which was changed from 48 hours to 5 days. In order to minimize the impact of the change on the handling procedure the two new alternatives for checking of dangerous and forbidden goods were introduced. We mean physical checking and physical checking with the explosive-detector. This service was introduced for you at Prague Airport. We would kindly ask you to inform us in advance and agree the procedure if the case occurs. The simplest solution is still to adjust the size of your shipment to meet requirements for X-ray checking, i.e. 120x80x160 cm.
